Currently, I think editing on a micro-level has never been better, and editing on a macro-level has never been worse. I leave it to you to decide why this is.

THIS GUN FOR HIRE • D. FRANK TUTTLE • 1942

Entirely average early film noir from Hollywood with Veronica Lake, who is marginally captivating (is that a compliment?)  Starts out promising, but the narrative takes a quick nose-dive into over-the-top absurdity.  Graham Greene wrote the novel on which this is based, but this is no THIRD MAN (see below).

I suppose there was nice photography around the gas works, but damn, what a snooze.
