CHE Part I and II - Steve Soderbergh - 2008 - Film Fest #08, 09
Excellent. It was a pleasure watching these back-to-back. Parts I and II are completely different films, even down to the screen ratio — 2.35:1 for Part I, 1.85:1 for Part II. Despite being called out by Doug Benson as a filmmaker who “doesn’t make movies anymore — he makes experiments in patience”, Soderbergh still has it. I mean, what other director could go from OCEAN’S THIRTEEN to CHE in one move?
