Currently, I think editing on a micro-level has never been better, and editing on a macro-level has never been worse. I leave it to you to decide why this is.

BRIGHT STAR - D: Jane Campion - 2009 - Film Fest #01

First film of this year’s film fest!  Director of The Piano was helicoptered in from Queenstown to Welly to intro her film about John Keats and his only love.  And a sad, lovely and beautiful film indeed.  Striking cinematography and score, coupled with a pretty strong narrative and performances makes this one of my highlights for the year.

Warning: will make your partner cry at the end!
