The whole film feels like a trailer for the next one, of which I’m told there will actually be two more. Nothing happens. Nothing. And though it’s a sequel, it feels like a prequel and succumbs to all the stupid requirements of a prequel. We have to have the characters we already know, they have to do things we already know, and there is no threat because we know what happens in the future (/past in this film). They didn’t even get to the time travel stuff in this! Come on. And the trailer gave away the only good plot point about the only decent character, so the reveal was already ruined. Nice explosions though.
But it’s not a film.
