Currently, I think editing on a micro-level has never been better, and editing on a macro-level has never been worse. I leave it to you to decide why this is.

HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE - Dir: Miyazaki - 2004 - DVD at home.

Damned brilliant!  Like most Miyazaki’s, the narrative is quite ambiguous and takes odd detours, while the characters are neither utterly good nor completely bad.  Crazy animation, awesome voice acting (in Japanese:).  His last before his son’s underwhelming TALES FROM EARTHSEA.  But I look forward to Miyazaki Sr’s upcoming young-child-aimed PONYO ON THE CLIFF.
